I started college as a Music Education major, then later added on Biology Education. I ended up just finishing a Bachelors of Arts in Music and a BSED in Biology Education. During my time in college I worked as both a university and a private tutor in biology and chemistry. In the university, I worked with non-science majors in entry level chemistry and biology classes. I did this for two semesters before my student teaching. I had two private tutoring students. Both of them were cyber school students that I would sit in while they did lessons and help them to understand content that was at first confusing or difficult to understand. I did my student teaching in 9th grade biology and 12th grade AP biology. The next school year, I did day-to-day substitute teaching in the beginning of the year, followed by a long-term chemistry substitute teaching position from October 2019 through March 2020. I ended up finishing early because of schools closing due to COVID-19. I'm certified in both Biology 7-12 and Chemistry 7-12.
